Sounds almost heavenly. Digging is almost an impossibility in most areas here. We have to build up to create garden beds. Now I'm not quite sure renovation and 'joy' should be in the same sentence, Diana! We've now moved onto stripping back compressed metal ceilings and there's no joy in that whatsoever. Now we have sand, we can DIG. My cuttings need propping up till they strike roots, but, we can DIG!!
Your kitchen looks magnificent. All that renovation 'joy' waits for us in the new year. The plants here are so well suited to the conditions thank goodness. That shows. Thanks for the invitation to join in your meme. Renovation is not much fun at the time, but it feels so good when you finish each job. We've still got a number of huge painting jobs ahead of us, but we're going to wait until after Christmas before we make more mess!! That's where I learnt all my firsts when it came to gardening. I certainly learned about what doesn't grow in hard compacted clay soil during our long dry seasons! You'll need lots of mulch and compost.BernieHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04435004798656616711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2053337601505232620.post-14465918674804752422014-12-11T23:05:53.025+10:002014-12-11T23:05:53.025+10:00Thanks Lorraine. I suppose we all go through patches of blogging blah, and that's definitely what happened to me this year. Hopefully our rainy season is just around the corner now. It's certainly heating up and becoming really muggy. I'm on break from school now and BernieHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04435004798656616711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2053337601505232620.post-77848242986358250472014-12-11T23:03:43.941+10:002014-12-11T23:03:43.941+10:00I'm certainly looking forward to the coming we...I'm certainly looking forward to the coming wet season, Virginia. The ground is like cement at the moment and could do with a few weeks of rain! It sounds like you've been having as much fun as we have. It does feel good to get a huge project finished though doesn't it? Especially when you've been doing all the work yourself. I also think Santa is fabulous. I know it is worth it in the end, your kitchen certainly shows that, but living with piles of clutter in all the wrong places is driving me mad.
Your garden still looks wonderful to me. I love the scent of gardenia and frangipani just speaks tropics!
